Threesome of Speech is a podcast in which Politician Gregory Edelenbos, journalist Loeke de Waal and adman Jonas van Praag blindly revisit iconic speeches.
‘I have a dream’, ‘Ich bin ein Berliner’, ‘How dare you?’: speeches for big events, victories or societal changes are often ingrained in our collective memory by legendary quotes. But how impressive, timeless or powerful is a speech when you read it out of context? That is what Threesome of Speech discovers. Each episode one host selects a speech and the other two go in blind; they don’t know who gave the speech, where it was given or when.

‘Kunnen We Zonder’ (translated: ‘Can We Do Without’) was a podcast that explored the question: in a world that always pushes us to do and want more, what could we do without?
Together with fellow journalist and co-host Mari Meyer we would take on different topics by looking at examples from (popular) culture and science. From toxic positivity to grind culture, virgin shaming and hair removal. We interviewed experts and folks with lived experience who already live differently or who have consciously abandoned the behavior or concept we’re discussing. To get some inspiration for the future, we featured an artist or otherwise creative guest who provided a glimpse into a world without in the recurring ‘Philosophical Minute’.
With guests like ‘Becoming Clitorate’ author dr.
